Renowned concert pianist Sara Davis Buechner will perform as part of the Queer Arts Festival on July 30th in a personal glimpse into her life and transgender journey.
Sara will talk about being the T in GLBT, and share what she's learned along the way about gender, gender roles, and how preconceptions have both limited and enhanced her own life. Organizers are calling it a "night of breath-taking pianism, insight and laughter that will be long remembered and treasured by those lucky enough to hear it". Sara David Buechner is a classical concert pianist whose performances and recordings have garnered acclaim on four continents. Career highlights include winning prizes in many of the world's most prestigious competitions, appearing with prominent orchestras world-wide, and an extensive list of recordings.
