The Parade begins at Noon on Sunday, August 1st from the corner of Robson and Bute Streets, heads west down the hill to Denman Street, follows Denman to Pacific and Beach Avenues and finishes at the Sunset Beach Festival site.  It is expected the parade will last for approximately 3 hours with the final entry reaching the Sunset Beach Festival at 3pm.  Be sure to get here early - with hundreds of thousands of spectators anticipated you'll definitely want to claim your best viewing spot well in advance of the start time.

Road Closures / Getting to the Parade

Street closures will begin at 8am along the parade route and will reopen at 3pm.  Parking restrictions will be in place.  It recommended you take transit rather than attempting to drive into the West End.

What to Bring

With summer temperatures expected to stay with us through to the Parade and Festival on August 1st, be sure to bring plenty of water to keep yourself hydrated as well as sunscreen and your hat!  Also be sure to bring your loose change and watch for the Pride Society Toonie Brigade as they make their way along the parade route collecting donations to help pay for all the festivities!

Immediately following the parade the festivities continue with the 2010 edition of the Vancouver Pride Festival at Sunset Beach.  With over 100,000 expected at the festival to take in the local and international entertainment this is definitely a part of Pride you don’t want to miss. Entertainment will include the headline show from singer/songwriter Yehonathan as well as Kim Kuzma, Sugarbeach and a whole lot  more all hosted by Denis Simpson and Symone.

In addition to the performances, some 125 booths will be on hand with a diverse range of products and services.  A beer garden will also be onsite.  The festivities here will continue until 6pm.
