The annual East Side Pride, which coincides with the anniversary weekend of the Stonewall Riots, moves to McSpadden Park on Victoria Drive this Saturday, June 25, 2011.

Vancouver may be host to the biggest Pride celebrations in the region but we're certainly not the only ones that can throw a great party! The OIS Rainbow Cultural Society is gearing up to celebrate Surrey Pride 2011 with a series of events in June and July.

It’s never too late to start thinking about the biggest event on Vancouver’s LGBTQ calendar.  So mark your calendars – the official Vancouver Pride Week 2011 begins July 23 and culminates with the annual Vancouver Pride Parade and Festival on July 31, 2011.

While Vancouver’s Pride celebrations might be the region’s largest, that isn’t stopping some of the other Lower Mainland cities from celebrating in their own backyards.  Back in June the LGBTQ community celebrated in Surrey; now, just a day after Vancouver’s own Pride hangover begins, the Royal City Pride Society is set to host its own Pride celebrations with a week-long event starting Tuesday, August 3rd.
