Olympian Mark Tewksbury to host Pride House film series

As part of the Pride House Vancouver festivities, the Vancouver Queer Film Festival will co-present two evenings of award winning queer documentaries and engaging community panels which focus on gay and lesbian athletes.

Claiming the Title: Gay Olympics on TrialHosted by former Canadian Olympic gold medalist and out gay activist Mark Tewksbury, the films will play the Pacific Cinematheque on February 23rd and 25th.

February 23rd will feature a double bill of A Knock Out and Training Rules, sponsored by the Canadian Association for the Advancement of Woman and Sport and Physical Activity (CAAWS).

The February 25th double bill features Claiming the Title: Gay Olympics on Trial and Beyond Gay: the Politics of Pride, sponsored by PFLAG.
