In its annual liveability survey, the Economist Intelligence Unit has ranked Vancouver as the world's most liveable city for the second year in a row.
Hot on Vancouver's heels were Vienna and Melbourne with two other cities in Canada, Toronto and Calgary, making the top ten list. The top U.S. city was Pittsburgh in 29th place and Harare, Zimbabwe ended up at the bottom with a liveability index of 37.5. The annual survey scores each city from 0-100 on 30 factors spread across five areas including stability, healthcare, culture and environment, education, and infrastructure. Vancouver topped the list in 2008 as well.
