After a year on the road due to delays in its renovations, The Cultch is back at home with its re-opening in Vancouver's Commercial Drive neighbourhood and has just announced its 2009/2010 Season. The Cultch's restored historic theatre and new Vancity Culture Lab feature an environmental design, along with better sightlines, air quality and acoustics. The new lobby is also home to a new café/wine bar and an expanded box office.
"We welcome the funny, the dark, the brilliantly imagined and the sublime all coming together in a variety of artistic manifestations.," says Heather Redfern, executive director of The Cultch commenting on the new season. This season The Cultch brings together an eclectic roster of artists and programs, including four-show Family and Olympic series, the 11th Annual Youth Program and a new Curators-in-Residence program. The Cultch 2009/2010 Season in Brief: MIDSUMMER (A PLAY WITH SONGS) Sept 3-12, 2009 Subscriptions for the 09/10 Season go on sale Wednesday, July 1st, 2009. Single tickets go on sale August 1, 2009.
