Review: Thoroughly Modern Millie is throughouly enjoyable

While perhaps a little weaker than its youthful cousin Annie, the second show in this year's Theatre Under the Stars season, Thoroughly Modern Millie, is still good fun with some great choreography and a lead actress that certainly knows her stuff.

The Altar Boyz are in town saving souls and serving up a fun (and funny) summertime treat at the Arts Club Granville Island Stage.  And while Jordan, Jonathan, Joey, Donnie and Danny may have launched a reunion tour, they have some tough competition with Matthew (Jeremy Crittenden), Mark (David Hurwitz), Luke (Jak Barradell), Juan (Vincent Tong) and Abraham (Geoff Stevens).

TheatreSports Late Night Mixer to replace Improv Extreme

Vancouver TheatreSports League announced that its Friday and Saturday late-night show, Improv Extreme, will be replaced with Late  Night Mixer, described as an intimate improv party reflective of a stylish neo-lounge scene, at the New Revue Stage on Granville Island.

The Comedy of Errors Joins 2009 Bard Season

Bard on the Beach Shakespeare Festival continues its 20th season with the fun-filled, deliciously farcical The Comedy of Errors. It plays Tuesdays through Sundays in the 520-seat open-ended Mainstage tent in Vanier Park from June 10 through September 26, 2009 in repertory with the currently running production of Othello. David Mackay returns to direct following last season's hugely popular 1920s version of Twelfth Night.

Othello Opens 2009 Bard on the Beach
