Becoming a holiday tradition in Vancouver, the Arts Club Theatre Company returns for the third year in a row with one of its most popular holiday shows, It's A Wonderful Life, at its Granville Island Stage from November 26th, 2009 through January 2nd, 2010.

Canadian actress, director, playwright and University of British Columbia (UBC) Theatre alumna, Nicola Cavendish will direct a production of The Laramie Project November 18th through 28th at the Frederic Wood Theatre at UBC.

Metro Theatre’s latest production Theft, another work by British Playwright Eric Chappell (the second this year for Metro), gets off to a slow start but is saved in act two by a quicker pace and a cast that finds their groove.

While Vancouver's other major theatre company presents two Christmas classics as their holiday offerings, the Vancouver Playhouse Theatre Company is going in a decidedly different direction as they present the hit Broadway musical Dirty Rotten Scoundrels based on the 1988 movie starring Michael Caine and Steve Martin.

While playing a chorus line dancer in A Chorus Line obviously means you should be able to dance, it also means being a triple threat – able to sing and act as well. And although there are only a few real triple threats in the production currently playing at The Centre in Vancouver, every single one of this young cast is singularly sensational as dancers.

Based on the 1954 movie classic of the same name starring Bing Crosby, the Arts Club Theatre Company will perform the musical stage adaptation of Irving Berlin's White Christmas: The Musical beginning November 12th.

We’ve all been there.  Getting away for a few days and returning to find out you forgot to cancel the newspaper, forgot to water the plants or maybe something a little more serious, like a burst water pipe.  But what if you went away for a few days and something really big happened?  And I’m not just talking “your dog got hit by a car” big.  I’m talking REALLY big.  How would you react?  How would you cope?

The Vancouver Playhouse opens its 2009/2010 season with The Miracle Worker, in what Artistic Director Max Reimer has characterized as a season celebrating the triumphs of the human spirit.  And while The Miracle Worker indeed fits that bill, the real triumph here is the cast, led by Anna Cummer and Margot Berner.

Following the success of Impro-vivor Granville Island, the Vancouver TheatreSports League once again uses reality television, this time in the guise of the popular Bachlorette series, to help package their unique brand of improvisational theatre.

As a member in the international touring company of A Chorus Line (which plays Vancouver at the beginning of November), actor Joey Dudding took some time between cities to talk to us about the show, his role and even about his just released movie.
