Vancouver AIDS Memorial. Every few weeks, GayVancouver.Net (Gay Vancouver Online) finds or receives a nomination for some great websites in Vancouver and around the world. Each of these sites are awarded with our Proud! Out Loud! Website of the Week. We hope you find these sites just as interesting, thought-provoking or just plain fun as we do.

Our Current Winner
The Vancouver AIDS Memorial so much more than just the memorial itself. Through the Vancouver AIDS Memorial website you can not only get a list of names but go beyond the names with their stories as told by family and friends of those honoured.
Nominate Someone for our Award
Do you have or know of a website that deserves recognition? Send us the details and it may appear as our next Proud! Out Loud! award winner!

Pride season has begun. With Vancouver Pride only a few weeks away, we know a lot of you start itching to begin the celebrations earlier. Pride Toronto is the grand-daddy of all Pride celebrations in Canada with this year's festivities running June 19-28, 2009. Can't Stop! Wont' Stop!
Our friends to the east have been emailing us to let us know about a new website called MyGayToronto.com. More than just your typical city portal, while the site provides everything you need to know about visiting Toronto it adds its own flair including one of our favourites - Ken's Kitchen - featuring recipes from everybody's favourite queer television cook Ken Kostick. We just wonder where Mary Jo is?!?
In keeping with our "everything Salt Spring Island" theme in May our first recipient of this month is Gays & Lesbians of Salt Spring Island (GLOSSI). Not only does GLOSSI help promote queer visibility on Salt Spring Island but celebrates Pride with a week long festival in September!
Just in time for Easter! The Rainbow Community Church started in 1986 as a bible study group and has evolved into its current form in 1999. An all inclusive spiritual community we applaud the local and international work this organization does in our communities.
We're not religious here at GayVancouver.Net but having got to know some of the players at Christ Alive Community Church in recent years they seem like caring people with a strong message of inclusion for our community.
For a lot of gay men and women spirituality can be tough. This week we kick off our our look at inclusive spiritual and religious groups in the Vancouver area beginning with Integrity Vancouver, the GLBT group for Anglicans.
A peer and social support group for for members of the GLBT facing mental health issues, Mental Matters offers a number of activities as well as support groups.
Overseeing the reigning Mr., Miss and Ms. Gay Vancouver the Rhinestone Phoenix Charity Foundation represents the GLBT+ community and raise funds for charity.
Growing up gay within a minority can be doubly tough. That's why we appreciate groups such as SherVancouver - a group for Punjabi and South Asian members of the GLBTI community.
