A little further afield, in our nation's capital, Gay Ottawa provides residents and visitors alike with information on local community groups, events and other information on the LGBT community in Ottawa, Ontario.

Not only a great online resource, the Pride Centre of Edmonton is also a central bricks-and-mortar community resource serving resources, support and programming for the community in Edmonton and the surrounding area.

It's not too early to start planning for WinterPride in February 2008 and Gay Whistler has all the details.

We're getting closer! The Gay Okanagan Network is a queer resource for the LGBT community in the Thompson-Okanagan region of British Columbia including Salmon Arm, Penticton, Vernon, Kelowna and more! A directory of businesses and services, calendar of events and other resources are only part of what the site has to offer. Well worth a visit if you're planning a visit to this part of beautiful British Columbia.

We're getting closer and closer to home. This week we invite you to visit the Gay Calgary for the usual assortment of information for visitors to the stampede city! And be sure to check out the online version of the Gay Calgary publication.

All the way on the other side of this huge country, Gay Halifax is another great Canadian city resource for visitors and Haligonians alike. Check out before your next trip east!

Our faithful visitors know we love a theme or two! This time over the next few awards we're going to concentrate on some of the other Canadian city websites dedicated to the queer community. First up, Gay Winnipeg, with a plethora of information on what to do (and who to do it with) in Winnipeg! Well worth the visit before you visit.

So we might be a little late for the camping season here in Vancouver but that is what makes Gaycampers.com such a great resource including listings of gay & lesbian campgrounds in the USA, Canada, Europe, Australia, New Zealand and the Caribbean.

A gay, Cuban, Wiccan living in New York? We are so there! Check out Azodnem.com. We love the look of this site and are intrigued by the variety of content plus there is even a place for you to purchase host Robert Mendoza's art.

Founded in 1990 as a result of the Gay Games in Vancouver, the Vancouver Lesbian and Gay Choir continues to be a fixture in the arts scene in the LGBT community in Vancouver. Be sure to to join them for Taboo: Cabaret Night and Silent Auction Fundraiser on October 12th!

Bear Force 1 - we'll let their video speak for itself!

The boyfriend swears by this site and is one of those places he checks out daily. Sometimes funny, sometimes weird but most definitely AHRRRR is unique. Check it out!

Boy, those queers are everywhere these days. Including on mainstream websites like HGTV's A Renovation Story. Follow Kevin Durkee and Tom Douangmixay as they share their story of renovating their home. Meet the family and follow them along their way to the house of their dreams.

Vancouver's annual Queer Film Festival is coming soon! Dozens of films over eleven days, this world class event is sure to have something for everyone! GayVancouver.Net is proud to be a five year silver reel sponsor in 2007.

Billed as "news, reviews and commentary on gay & bisexual men in entertainment and the media, AfterElton.com is worth it just for its annual Hot 100 List.

Our annual salute to the men and women who put together Pride in Vancouver. Check out the Vancouver Pride Society website for everything Pride related.

What do Lesbians and Jews have in common? Aviva Pages - A Jewish Vancouver Lesbian Homepage. Jewish links. Dyke links. Jewish Dyke links. Well worth checking out.

The Four Feathers Society is a tribe of aboriginal and non-aboriginal men who self-identify as being gay or two-spirited. Offering fellowship, activism and support, the group provides a number of opportunities its members to help achieve physical and mental well-being.

Perhaps Vancouver's best kept secret for feminists? LadyFest Vancouver runs for three days in June offering a variety of events for everyone with a goal to promote feminist issues in our city and raise awareness of women's rights amongst young and old alike.

When we started putting together our monthly travel piece on the history of Vancouver we also went looking for some nuggets on the local gay history. One of the places we found was the Canadian Lesbian and Gay Archives which is a treasure trove of historical information about LGBT life in Canada. A must visit website for anyone to see how we got to where we are today!

A former DJ with the K-ROCK in New York City (the same radio station that brought us Howard Stern), DJ Ben Harvey is now working as a host for here! Networks, a national premium cable network in the United States. Be sure to check out all the dirt on Ben's Vancouver/Whistler visit on his Blog (we'll even forgive Ben for his less than glowing report on our fair city)...

We've said this many times but we'll say it again - one of the best things about the internet is there is something for everyone. Take Gaysia for instance - a site for Asian gay men and their admirers out of the United Kingdom. We love the diversity the internet brings and this is just another great example.

A few months back we did a music theme. For some reason we missed Pride of Indy! Both a community band and colour guard, the group appears in many area events throughout the year. We just LOVE the "band geek of the month" feature.

Rainbow Community Church features one of the most dynamic church communities in Vancouver with a special ministry to the GLBT community, as well as the homeless, the disabled, and people from all walks of life.

We like the look of BoyFresh Media and the free content is interesting but we suspect the real fun comes when you sign-up! Definitely worth checking out!

Just plain fun! Check out the video below from YouTube and then check out the Tomboy website!
