Indulge your chocolate addiction at the West Coast Chocolate Festival

Good thing chocolate has been getting a lot of good press lately what with the month long West Coast Chocolate Festival set to begin on October 15th. With a variety of events to run throughout the Lower Mainland until November 15th, those of us who love chocolate can now indulge (with moderation of course!) our addiction with just a little less guilt.

First launched in 2002, the West Coast Chocolate Festival has grown from its suburban beginnings in Coquitlam, Port Moody and Port Coquitlam to now include over 150 events across the Tri-Cities and into Burnaby and Vancouver as well.

But more than just a celebration of everything chocolate, the West Coast Chocolate Festival mixes the delicious with the practical by providing work and mentorship opportunities for youth across the region.

This year’s Festival will open October 15th in downtown Vancouver with Panache at the Renaissance Vancouver Hotel Harbourside. A “mini-taste” of what to expect at the Festival, the evening will include samples of some of its signature events include pairing of chocolate with single malt scotches, wines, beers and coffee.

Other highlights over the month long festival include the only-on-the-west-coast Chocolate Yoga and Chocolate Meditation, an evening of Italian Chocolate and Wine and the much anticipated Craft Beer and Chocolate tasting on Granville Island.
