Single concert tickets for the Vancouver Symphony Orchestra's 2010/2011 season go on sale August 23rd.
The new VSO season begins on Saturday, September 25th at the Orpheum with Romantic French classics, in a concert featuring pianist Avan Yu. Other 2010 highlights include Canadian pop superstar Chantal Kreviazuk who will perform with the Vancouver Symphony Orchestra on October 27th. Movies and video games come to life with the Lord of the Rings Symphony from Peter Jackson's Oscar-winning movie trilogy and Play! A Video Game Symphony features award-winning music from a catalogue of blockbuster video game titles. Starting off 2011, the VSO plays host to Arrival from Sweden, the world's top ABBA tribute band in January and ends with the return of VSO's GRAMMY® and JUNO® partner James Ehnes.
