VSO Pops to present music from movie classics |

It has been said that music makes the movie and to help prove this to be true the Vancouver Symphony Orchestra will present music from classic movies in its next VSO Pops show November 27th and 28th. Featuring music from such classics as Gone with the Wind, Lawrence of Arabia, Breakfast at Tiffany’s, Doctor Zhivago, The Godfather, Titanic and Raiders of the Lost Ark, the concerts will also feature vocolists Kristine Reese and Billy Tighe and film clips.
Reineke who began his tenure as Music Director of the largest independent pops orchestra in the United States, The New York Pops, last month is also kept busy as Principal Pops Conductor of the Long Beach Symphony Orchestra and Principal Pops Conductor of the Modesto Symphony Orchestra. In addition, Reineke holds the title of Associate Conductor of the Cincinnati Pops Orchestra where for thirteen years he has served as a composer, arranger, and conducting protégé of the celebrated pops conductor Erich Kunzel.
