From the producers of Vancouver's Next Gay Top Model comes a new competition: the search for Vancouver's first Hot Gay DJ.
Up to a dozen male DJs (sorry ladies, this one is only for the guys) will spin to be on top, with industry professionals, promoters and the audience all have a chance to vote. For those DJs that think they've got the right stuff, applications are now being accepted through May 1st, 2010 but any DJ applying before March 10th are guaranteed a spot in the competition. Contestants must be a Canadian gay male, residing in Metro Vancouver, be 19+ years of age, have at least one gig under his belt in one of Vancouver's gay establishments, or special gay events and be free from a DJ management contract. The winner will not only be able to use the title as Vancouver's Hot Gay DJ 2010 but will also receive a two-year representation agreement with Mirateca Arts, a promotional tour and media exposure including a showcase in BeatRoute magazine. From Mirateca Arts Producer Terry Costa, comes this newest contest where it isn't enough just to be a great DJ or even a gay DJ, but you also have to be hot as well.
