Kristen C and Christoker tie in audience vote for gay hot DJ contest

With round one of Vancouver's Gay Hot DJ competition now complete, two contestants have tied for the audience popular vote.

Vancouver's Gay Hot DJDuring their Davie Village Tour on June 3rd, the nine contestants for the title of Gay Hot DJ vied for votes from the audiences at the five participating venues.  With the 428 votes cast, DJ Kristen C and DJ Christoker (pictured right in photos by Ben Ami) tied in the "audience popular vote" category.

"To celebrate their win both DJs will join forces for a Canada Day party on July 1st," said Producer Terry Costa.

The party will place at J Lounge (1216 Bute Street) from 3pm to 9pm.  A limited number of tickets ($10 each) for the party go on sale Friday, June 11th at Little Sisters.

But the competition is far from over.  According to Costa the next step in the competition is the "Facebook popular vote" with members of the Mirateca Arts Facebook group getting a chance to vote for their favourite DJ.

The competition wraps up on Monday, August 2nd with the grand finale beginning at noon at J Lounge.  The $10 finale tickets will also go on sale at Little Sisters on Friday, June 11th.
