As one of the holiday season's timeless classics, Vivaldi’s The Four Seasons will get a new interpretation this year as violinist Elizabeth Wallfisch will lead the Vancouver Symphony Orchestra (VSO) in the piece, as well as chamber works by Purcell and Handel. The concerts take place on December 18th and 19th at the Chan Centre for Performing Arts and Massey Theatre in New Westminster on December 21st.

The Vancouver Symphony Orchestra returns with one of its perennial favourites, A Traditional Christmas, starting December 10th. As with previous years, the concert will feature carols, sing-a-longs, and selections from Handel’s Messiah, Tchaikovsky’s Nutcracker, and other holiday favourites.

After the sudden cancellation of the Fame Kills tour starring Kanye West and Lady GaGa, rumours have circulated about Lady GaGa doing her own solo tour. Live Nation announced yesterday that indeed a North American tour will happen with a stop in Vancouver on December 9th, 10th and a new show just added on December 11th at the Queen Elizabeth Theatre.
