As most of their audiences were undoubtedly nursing their hangovers from the Pride festivities on Sunday, eight Vancouver DJs battled it out for the title of Vancouver’s Hot Gay DJ.  When the vinyl dust settled it was DJ Jeffery Michael that took home the prize.

According to singer-songwriter Dudley Saunders it's the things we don’t talk about that cause us the most trouble. And it is within this framework that Saunders, who was honoured last year with an Outmusic Award for outstanding album, writes about the things that unnerve, disturb and get under his skin in his brand of “avant folk” music.

From the producers of Vancouver's Next Gay Top Model comes their newest competition - Hot Gay DJ.  This new project, from Terry Costa and his Mirateca Arts, will see competititors undertake a Davie Village Tour of five Vancouver gay bars, pubs and nightclubs on Thursday, June 3rd leading up to the contest grand finale on August 2nd.

Spring at the VSO features a strong line-up of guest artists, great classical repertoire, fun Symphony Pops, matinees, and a range of concerts for children and families. This month includes such prominent artists as violinist Nicola Benedetti, pianists Barry Douglas, Stewart Goodyear and Darrett Zusko, and Motown specialists Radiance.
