monday, 7 March: celebrities Latin fiesta night

One of the newest nights for Vancouver's gay bar scene, Celebrities presents Latin Fiesta night with free Salsa, Cha Cha and Bachata lessons at 9pm featuring Western Canada's #1 Latin dance band, Orquesta BC Salsa.  No cover before 9:30pm (doors at 8:30pm).  Visit http://www.celebritiesnightclub.com for more information.

Tuesday, 8 March: fashion's night out!

Fashion's Night OUT!In light of the recent and alarmingly numerous homophobic bullying-related suicides in North America, members of the Vancouver fashion industry are hoping to bring local awareness and a show of solidarity by holding a runway show and fundraiser for Out in Schools. Guests of Fashion’s Night OUT! will be treated to a fashion show put on by The Hudson Bay Company along with a cocktail reception, silent auction, live DJ, and exclusive gift bags. Tickets are $20 each available online.

Wednesday, 9 March: WESA Softball registration

You know spring can't be that far off as the West End Soft-ball Association (WESA) holds the second of its annual registration nights.  Tonight the boys are at The Pumpjack (1167 Davie Street) from 7-9pm.  They tell us space is limited so be sure to register early.  Visit http://www.wesa.net for more information.

New York Times bestselling author Jodi Picoult comes to Vancouver to read from Sing You Home.  In her new novel Picoult explores what it means to be gay in today’s world.
