Monday, 22 October 2012

Another mixed bag of theatre, music, dance and of course some Halloween treats.  Here are our gay choices for the week of October 22 - 28, 2012.

Of course, you'll want to check our Events Calendar for details of all the latest happenings around the city. Got an event? Send us the details and we'll get it added to our calendar (and maybe see it listed here in the coming weeks).

MONDAY, 22 October: The Unplugging

What better way to start the week than with an ending.  Of civilization.  As in the apocalypse.  In what our reviewer calls a show with a simple message of hope, The Unplugging has enough warmth to thaw even the biggest cynic's heart.  On the Granville Island Revue Stage.  Visit http://www.artsclub.com for tickets and information.

FRIDAY, 26 October: Little Shop of Horrors

This campy little musical uses 1960s rock and roll, doo-wop and early Motown to tell its Faustian story of skid row flower shop clerk Seymour Krelborn who earns fame and fortune by keeping his man-eating plant satisfied with human blood.  This Fighting Chance Productions makes for what our reviewer called a great Halloween treat.  At the Jericho Arts Centre.  Visit http://www.jerichoartscentre.com for more information.
