Wednesday, 20 april: the graduateContrary to popular belief, Dustin Hoffman's character did not say "are you trying to seduce me, Mrs Robinson?" in the 1967 film. Now ranked as the seventh greatest film of all time by the American Film Institute, this classic movie makes the leap to the stage. We can only hope that the amazing soundtrack makes that leap as well and that we find out exactly what Benjamin Braddock said to Mrs Robinson. friday, 22 april: the wizMost will probably remember The Wiz as the 1978 movie with Michael Jackson and Diana Ross, but it actually started life as a musical in 1974 as The Wiz: The Super Soul Musical "Wonderful Wizard of Oz". Vancouver's Fighting Chance Productions brings the updated quest of Dorothy, the Scarecrow, Tin Man, and the Cowardly Lion to Performance Works on Granville Island.
