friday, 22 july: confessions of a mad drag queenDavid Blue and his Raving Theatre return with another original script that promises "mascara, madness and murder" as it tells the story of Miranda Rights, who twenty years ago snapped and went on a murderous rampage. Blue says this is his homage to Bette Davis, with a little bit of Joan Crawford and Gloria Swanson thrown in for good measure. We wonder if Miranda is ready for her close-up? sunday, 24 july: complete works of william shakespeareDon't let the title fool you - it's really a comedy. From director David C Jones and the Bob Loblaw Queer Arts Society (the same people who bring you queer improv every Monday at J Lounge) comes 37 of Shakespeares plays in 97 minutes. With Hamlet being performed backwards, Othello as a rap and Titus Andronicus turned into a cooking show this is not your stuffy Bard in a tent. An official Partner in Pride event.
