Gay Top Model finale more than just a fashion show

Sure the nine finalists vying for the Gay Top Model crown will be strutting their stuff during the finale at the River Rock Casino on April 23rd, but guests can expect more than just a fashion show.

Hosted by Breakfast Television personalities Kyle Donaldson and Michel McDermott, the finale will also include special musical guests and performances by a number of Vancouver's biggest drag queens including Jaylene and Kiki Lawhore.  The show will also include performances by the Queen of Samba, Septimius The Great, and performances by burlesque stars the SparklePussies and Diamond Minx. New to the line-up is a performance by Sugarbeach, Vancouver's award-winning lesbian pop duo.

But let's face it, despite the talented line-up of entertainment, most of us are interested in seeing the boys of Gay Top Model: Connor, David S, Kolin, Kyle, Owen, Rory, Sebastian, Thomas and Todd.

The winner will take home a bevy of prizes including the opportunity to escort a Gay Tour of Cuba with award-winning OUT Adventures valued at over $2000, a weekend pass for two to WinterPRIDE in Whistler, a new wardrobe from designer Nancy Perreault, a Priape and spa prize packages, a showcase in Outlooks magazine and a photoshoot with Double Take2's Nicholas Jang.

Along with all the fun, Gay Top Model is also a fundraiser for the Vancouver Friends For Life Society.  In its four years, the Gay Top Model competition has raised over $17,000 for this great charity.
