In what was described by Producer Terry Costa as "a close race all the way until the last moment" Vancouver crowned its newest Gay Top Model during the finale on April 1st. Taking home the 2010 title is contestant Fraser.
The real surprise in the competition though was the three-way tie for second place between contestants Toban, Riley and Rob. “Any one of them would have been great as the title holder and I am sure we’ll be seeing much more from them in the months to come,” said Costa. The same night contestants Fraser, Riley and Rob received the Coverboy Award and will appear on the cover of Charlie David’s new novel Shadowlands which is expected on newsstands soon. "All the finalists should be proud of themselves as they were a part of something special that will stay with them for the rest of their lives," added Costa. A fundraiser for The Vancouver Friends for Life Society, Vancouver's Next Gay Top Model helps to raise funds and have a little fun. "Friends for Life receives a great amount of exposure and much needed funds by being the charity attached to this project," said Society Executive Director Sheena Sargeant. "And that’s what really counts at the end of the day." The next and fourth season of Vancouver's Next Gay Top Model was announced at the finale and preparations are already underway for the next competition.
