Fighting Chance Productions, responsible for the sell-out hits Sweeney Todd, Forbidden Broadway, Rent and The Musical of Musicals: The Musical is thrilled to bring the Western Canadian premiere of bare: a pop opera to Lower Mainland audiences! A group of high school seniors at a Catholic boarding school faces issues of sexuality and personal identity. As they struggle to come to terms with who they are, and who the world thinks they should be, they seek answers from their Church, their friends, and ultimately, from within themselves. Its rich, vibrant score draws on many styles of contemporary music.

bare: a pop opera plays at the Waterfront Theatre (1412 Cartwright Street) from August 4-13, 2011. Tuesdays - Sundays at 8pm. Tickets are $20 – $30 and are available at http://www.ticketstonight.ca
