The University of British Columbia's Pride UBC celebrates its university LGBT pride with a week of events beginning with a flag raising ceremony at the north side of the Student Union Building at Noon on Monday, February 8th.
Visit http://www.prideubc.com for more information on all the week's events. Held each year on the UBC campus, Outweek is organized by Pride UBC, an Alma Mater Society (AMS) resource group that offers educational and social services dealing with sexuality to the UBC community. Along with its annual Outweek, Pride UBC also operates a number of other weekly events on campus including On the QT a discussion forum for those that might not be fully out-of-the-closet, Trans Tea Time a discussion group for trans issues plus Guy-Lovers on Wednesdays (GLOW) and Female-Lovers on Thursdays (FLOW) which are gender specific lunch-time get-togethers.
