Spend Christmas with the Queens

Ever wanted to spend a little time during the holidays with royalty?  Now is your chance, as eight of Vancouver’s top Drag Queens presents their fundraiser Christmas with the Queens: A Holiday Spectacular at the River Rock Show Theatre on December 23, 2010.

Promising “dynamic comedic performances, breathtaking dance production numbers, gorgeous costumes and astounding scenes”, Christmas with the Queens features choreography from Trevor Kozlow, costumes by Chris Sinosich of Sebastian and Co, all under the direction of Kevin Kreisz.

Featuring eight of Vancouver’s best known Drag Queens, the 90 minute show will be presented in a French revue format that is bound to sizzle like the Lido de Paris and Moulin Rouge.

The show will feature Tatiana as the Sugar Plum Fairy and Connie Smudge as the wildest Mrs. Claus you will ever meet.  Mandy Camp will enchant with Faith Hill’s “Where Are You Christmas” and Jaylene Tyme and Robyn Graves perform Cher and Judy Garland.  Raye Sunshine, the reigning Dogwood Monarchist Society (DMS) Empress, will be on hand to provide information on some of the DMS charities and Iona Whipp and Kiki Lawhore bring the total to eight Queens of Christmas.

Organizers are guaranteeing a night “to delight audiences of all ages”.  All proceeds will benefit the DMS charities.
