Following on the heels of the successful locally-shot series Don’t Quit Your Gay Job and Tops & Bottoms, OUTtv is returning to Vancouver with a one-night only comedy show, Out For Laughs, to be filmed on October 13th for later broadcast.

Out For Laughs

More than a queer television comedy showcase, Out For Laughs will also be a fundraiser for Qmunity - BC’s Queer Resource Centre.  Qmunity is a leading provincial resource centre offering community services and programs that celebrate, support and enhance the diverse cultures of queer communities offering a variety of resources in a welcoming, accessible, and safe space. Their services and programs support healthy and active living, provide leadership, increase awareness, advocate where needed, and promote arts and culture.

But while tickets to the taping of Out For Laughs are free, donations will be collected to support this group's ongoing work.

Out For Laughs will be hosted by Morgan Brayton and will star stand-up comedian Darcy Michael. Also scheduled to appear are: David C. Jones with Pearce Visser, Dianna David & Nelson Wong from The Bobbers, The Ryan Steele Show, Robyn Daye Edwards, Julia Stretch, Barbara Sehr, Ardell Fitzpatrick, Lee Ann Kepple, and It’s Good To Know People.

Please be aware that Qmunity is NOT accessible. While Qmunity uses off-site spaces on occasion (as in the case of this fundraiser), and does offer one space (the Generations office) for certain limited things, the main space (which includes counseling, the library, the clinic, prideline, much of the group space, the youth office, etc) is not in any way accessible. Please amend your promo to reflect this.
Thanks :)

I'm not sure that "accessible" always means physical accessibility.

Well then they need to be specific about what they mean instead of tossing the word out there. Consider my post an attempt to help them clarify.

QMUNITY is a vital community resource with little to no funding or provincial support... Cut them some slack!
