It definitely 'tis the season!  Vancouver's East Vancouver drag show Apocalypstick! hosts its own holiday extravaganza on Sunday, December 19, 2010 at The Cobalt to raise funds for Out In Schools.

Apocalypstick! Holiday Extravaganza: A Benefit for Out In SchoolsAs a thank you to the show's fans and to help support the work done by Out In Schools, the organizers of Apocalypstick promise a holiday drag show that you will not soon forget.

"We wanted to give back with our biggest show yet," said organizer Brandon Gaukel. "But also donate the proceeds to our favourite cause, Out in Schools, where it can be put to good use making queer lives across the Lower Mainland better."

Hosted by the Queen of East Van Isolde N. Barron the show will feature Vera Way, Jaylene Tyme, Peach Cobblah, Babbibot Barron as well as Mean Teen Queen Carven Li.

Out In Schools brings queer films to local high schools to facilitate discussion with youth on bullying, homophobia and stereotypes in a safe environment to explore and discuss these issues. During the 2009/2010 school year some 55 workshop presentations were given, reaching more than 6,000 youth across British Columbia.
