Only a few weeks into their return to the Jupiter Cafe with their weekly Tops and Bottoms show, The Bobbers, Canada's only queer comedy improv group, have set their eyes on some beefcake as they raise funds for A Loving Spoonful during their November 30th show.

Beefcake Tops and BottomsVowing to release their inner machismo in this "sexy funny" fundraiser, the show, appropriately named Beefcake, will include male models, go-go boys, kissing booths and games of chance.  Of course it will also feature the hilarious improvised antics of male members of The Bobbers including Derek Bedry, Dan Dumsha, Benjamin Garner, Derek Kemle, Minh Ly, Alan Pavlokovic, Bill Taylor and Nelson Wong.

“The Bobbers have always tried to find ways to use their humour to raise spirits and money for the GLBT community,” says founder David C. Jones.  “This is our first attempt at overtly showing that funny can be sexy and we are thrilled to do it for A Loving Spoonful a group that works so hard in the community.”

A Loving Spoonful is a volunteer-driven organization delivering nutritious meals to people living with HIV/AIDS in Greater Vancouver. Every week, all year round for over 19 years, A Loving Spoonful volunteers deliver approximately 1200 frozen meals and over 250 snack packs to  over 250 men, women and children who are primarily homebound with AIDS.
