The bears (not to mention the otters, wolves and their friends) take over on Sunday, July 4th in a full day of "getting back to the wild" to help send children affected by HIV/AIDS to camp.
Then it's on to Steamworks (123 West Pender) from 3pm to 7pm for you to commune with nature in more ways than one. Collect all your badges at Camp Poke-A-Bear while you get into the wilderness enjoying the company of furry bears, studly park rangers and willing "cub" scouts. DJ Matt Effect (Sydney Australia - ) will enhance the experience with hot house music and sexy deep beats. Finally it is off to Numbers (1042 Davie Street) for Cub-A-Licious. Listen to the sweet, sweet beats as you shake your butt on the dance floor or find a quiet corner and get to know a new friend. As part of the charity fundraiser, Number's is donating 100% of the door, which will be by sliding scale donation. All proceeds from the day's events will go to support Camp Moomba - a specialized summer camp program for kids age 6—17 who are impacted by HIV/AIDS. Vancouver's WILD Sunday |
