Stories wanted: are you a victim of a hate crime?

In April 2010 a national conference will take place in Ottawa that centers on why the GLBTQ community does not report hate crimes.  To prepare for the conference, the organizers have put out the call for stories of hate-motivated incidents toward the GLBTTQ community from across Canada.

Suits poz working men's dinner group celebrates anniversary

Started in January 2009, the Suits Poz Working Men's Dinner Group began in response to a need for a support program for HIV-positive working men. The program, run by and for gay poz working guys, is part of the British Columbia Persons With AIDS Society's Wellness Promotion Programs.  The group will celebrate it's one-year anniversary with a special dinner on January 25th, 2010.

 

Project Flaming Heart looking to build addictions treatment centre for the glbt+ community

Founded on December 1st, 2009 marking the 21st annual World AIDS Day, Project Flaming Heart announced that it will build an addictions treatment centre for the glbt+ community in Canada based in the Metro Vancouver area.
