A member driven organization, Out and About Vancouver is a group of about 150 gay men in the Greater Vancouver area who enjoy the great outdoors. The group plans many activities throughout the year which include everything from hiking and walking to kayaking and camping, or whatever is of interest to their members. Upcoming activities include a hike at the end of November in the Campbell Valley Regional Park in south Langley and something called the Misery Walk in January 2010 that you must read about to actually believe. And while most of the activities are local, the group does travel from time-to-time including a planned trip to Veracruz, Mexico Plus, it's not just about the outdoors with the group participating in a variety of other social actvities including movie and games nights. Membership in Out and About Vancouver is only $10 per year and your membership gives you access to all the club events and even the opportunity to lead your own group activity.
