From the small group of friends that came together simply with a passion for volleyball, the Vancouver Gay Volleyball Association (VGVA) has come a long way over its thirty year history. Crediting the 1990 Gay Games in Vancouver for an increased interest in the game, the VGVA has blossomed to today's 180 members playing at five different levels.

Squares Across the Border, the local gay and lesbian square dancing club, as well as the only square dance group in the city of Vancouver, has been offering modern western square dance lessons for for the last 25 years. Starting this September, the club will begin its 26th year.
