MEET RYan miller

Named one of “100 Most Influential Gays and Lesbians” in 2001 by Advocate magazine, Ryan Miller came out to the competitive snowboard world in 2001. Since his coming out Ryan has made many appearances across the United States talking about his story.

Ryan first began skiing in 1983 and snowboarding in 1998 with his first FIS snowboard race in 2000. Ryan ranked as high as #25 in the 2003-2004 season among U.S. riders.

Originally from Limerick, Pennsylvania, Ryan now lives in Denver, Colorado with his husband Steve Talmage. Besides his full-time work, Ryan manages, along with husband Steve, the events and operations of Outboard and outboard.org which is the world's largest gay and lesbian snowboard organization with over 2300 members.
