Mz Adrien was born in a small fishing village nested in the highlands of Cape Breton in the beautiful Province of Nova Scotia. Born to a large French-Acadian family, with stars in her eyes, at the tender age of sixteen she ran away to Halifax. While attending university and waitressing in drag at the local gay club, she discovered the bright lights of the stage. Her love for drag, along with a guiding hand from her drag mother Jenny Black, blossomed throughout the years. In 1991 she moved to Vancouver and was soon headlining her own show at the old Dufferin Hotel which included an endless list of impersonations including Marilyn Monroe, Dolly Parton, Liza Minnelli and many, many more. Mz Adrien is internationally acclaimed and has traveled the world with her shows including Mexico, Europe and throughout the United States. During her many years in the Vancouver community, Mz Adrien has been held various titles including Queen of Hearts XIV, Miss Gay XVII, and Empress XXVII. Mz Adrien, known for her exquisite glamour and old showgirl charm, can now be seen as co-hostess of The Luv Show every third Saturday of the month at the Heritage Grill in New Westminster and the second Saturday of the month at the Fireside Cafe in Surrey. |
