MEET Berend Mckenze Berend McKenzie is an award wining actor, playwright and producer currently living in Vancouver. Berend is a graduate of the Grant MacEwan Theatre Arts Program and has worked with Oscar Award winning actresses Halle Berry and Angelina Jolie. Some of his film and television credits include Catwoman, Life or Something Like It, Andromeda, and Cold Squad. Some of his theatre credits include The Tempest, Poor Superman, and Beyond Therapy were he won the Peoples Choice Award for Best Actress for his portrayal of Charlotte at the Vancouver International Fringe. Berend is grateful to be working with Guys in Disguise for another Fringe. His last play produced by Guys In Disguise, Get Off the Cross Mary, was an underground hit at the 2006 Edmonton International Fringe Festival and won the Xtra West Hero Award for it's very successful run at the Vancouver International Fringe Festival that same year.
